This publication is the result of two overland journeys through European countries between April 20 and May 6, 2024. These “residencies on the move” were 13,000 km of a collage of interviews, stories, encounters, sensations, and imagined universes are told in various essays.
A limited edition publication made by three hands with a double cover that guides us along different paths to two obligatory stops: a disused sanatorium in Krvavica and the cultural centre of the Triennale.
“On Time” was the reflection proposed by social designer Johanna Musch based on interviews conducted in the cities that outlined her non-linear path. The expanded essay brings together different witnesses of care, from a forester in Bordeaux to an informal caregiver in Lisbon. Their writing describes this human landscape of those who carry out 'long-term care measures', nurturing the idea of community and sharing.
The theme chosen by the wit[h]nessing duo is “Between Exhaustion and Healing”, bringing together 12 essays of fictional speculation on socio-political, cognitive, and environmental ecology. It covers seven thousand kilometers between the Black, Marmara, Thracian, Aegean, Adriatic, and Mediterranean seas, from the Balearics to the Atlantic. Each stop inspires an introspection that leads us to imagine places and people from a very personal point of view. An online appetizer here.
Illustrated in English, the publication was developed as part of the European LINA programme, whose authors were selected through an open call in 2023.
